Our name, “19Twenty,” is drawn from both our physical location at 1920 Argyle Drive and a meaningful verse from John 19:20, which tells of the sign posted on the cross proclaiming Jesus as “King” in Greek, Hebrew, and Latin—the international languages of the time.
Just as that message of hope was made visible for all to see, our heart is to make Jesus known to every nation and every person today.
We are an intercultural, English-speaking congregation made up of people from across Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. While diverse in culture, we are united in faith and community.
19Twenty Church is also a ministry of Finnish Bethel Church, a congregation with deep roots in Vancouver and a long-standing affiliation with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). Since 1946, Finnish Bethel Church has faithfully served the local Finnish-speaking community.
At 19Twenty, you’ll find a place where people of all cultures and generations can belong as a family, grow in their faith, share a new life in Christ, and serve together in the name of Jesus.
