Here is some information on our guest speaker Travis:
As a new Christian Travis was invited to participate in a discipleship training group called Equip to Serve which is also known as the 2:7 course. It was instrumental in him maturing in his faith and leaving work in public relations to serving in ministry with street youth in downtown Vancouver. While working with street youth he soon learned that it was intentional discipleship that got many of the kids off the street.
Travis and his wife Jennifer have 5 children and live in Surrey,BC. They started full-time with Discipleship International Canada in 2004 leading Equip to Serve (2:7) discipleship training groups in the lower mainland of Vancouver, Canada.
Travis became Director of Discipleship International in 2013 and his focus is on supporting churches to train up mature Believers in the congregations, internationally his focus has been on Kenya and India training local grassroots Pastors to disciple their congregations.
